With minimal elation,
Another day did end.
Another day of contemplation,
Another day behind the wall
Of fear and guilt
Of shame and blame
That kept the light at bay.
So many stones, stacked so high
That it became the only view,
Too high to scale
To wide to walk
So he became complacent.
Then one day a thought arose
A glimmer newly nascent,
There shined one stone
Before unseen
And somehow different from the rest,
And with a push and then a tug
He put it to the test
To his surprise he found
It held up all the rest,
As he removed the judgment stone
The others could not stand,
Years and years of blame and fears
Tumbled to the ground
And then at last he did behold
A world so long obscured
Now free to wander there at last,
Reunited with his soul.
