The golden glow came to my East
this morning,
brightening the sky in search
of clouds with which to dance.
Finding a few,
it brought forth it's pinken hues
and faded the inky night
into a softer blue.
Those gentle pastels,
emboldened by the ardent chanting
of a thousand birds,
became the gold of day.
