I’ve wallowed in self-loathing
Long enough!
Long enough to understand
The truth of who
And what I am.
The self-indulgent drama meant
To show contrition
For the sin
Of being human
Has given way
To the joy
Of self-forgiveness
As I give myself
Permission
Again
To be
Guilt free.
